Sourav Ganguly 1st India cricketer in 65 years to become BCCI president: Sourav Ganguly is all set to be elected unopposed as the new BCCI president. The former India captain filed his nomination for the coveted post on 14th October 2019 at the BCCI headquarters in Mumbai. He was accompanied by former BCCI bosses Niranjan Shah and N Srinivasan as he became the only candidate to file the nomination. Aftabon (talk) 18:05, 14 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sourav ganguly’s grandfather was Bardakant Ganguly who was a residence of Dhaka, Bangladesh and when he left the place people started calling the place B K (Bardakant) ganguly lane.
