Welcome!

[edit]

Hi Karello, and a warm welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you have enjoyed editing as much as I did so far and decide to stay. Unfamiliar with the features and workings of Wikipedia? Don't fret! Be Bold! Here's some good links for your reference and that'll get you started in no time!

Most Wikipedians would prefer to just work on articles of their own interest. But if you have some free time to spare, here are some open tasks that you may want to help out :

  • RC Patrol - Keeping a lookout for vandalism.
  • Cleanup - Help make unreadable articles readable.
  • Requests - Wanted on WP, but hasn't been created.
  • Merge - Combining duplicate articles into one.
  • Wikiprojects - So many to join, so many to choose from...Take your pick!

Oh yes, don't forget to sign when you write on talk pages, simply type four tildes, like this: ~~~~. This will automatically add your name and the time after your comments. And finally, if you have any questions or doubts, don't hesitate to contact me on my talk page. Once again, welcome! =)

Karello (talk) 02:53, 21 January 2012 (UTC) I haven't posted here in a very long time. I don't know how to sign this page or resolve the image problem it speaks about, can anyone help? I look forward to sharing my additional 7 years experience, in addition to the 10 years experience when I first posted here with my CFA registered Manx cats.[reply]

Few things, it is better to post at the bottom of the page because that is where people will look for for new material. Secondly, it is better to sign at the end because that is where bots look for a signature. Thirdly, it is considered impolite to "fix" other people's posts, even for such things as spelling and grammar. And finally, it is not your expertise as an owner and/or breeder of Manx cats which is important, except in as much as you are aware of published sources to back up any facts that you put into the article. Personal experience is not relevant, scholarship is. Dabbler (talk) 14:17, 21 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I added the image on your user page as I think it is better than the previous one, but the resolution is a little low, and the infobox expanded it to fit the minimum width, making it a little blurry. It would be nice to have the same image in a higher quality if you have it.--Dodo bird (talk) 03:00, 17 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
