Cahill

[edit]
I added a bit to the page. I did not read it. I heard an interview with the author for an hour or two and a book review. When I wrote about it on QEII's page, it was met with a lot of skepticism. You can see the details on her page in the history. --Filll 15:28, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WP:Films Welcome

[edit]
Welcome!
File:Transparent film reel and film.png

Hey, welcome to the Films WikiProject! We're a group of editors working to improve Wikipedia's coverage of films and film characters. If you haven't already, please add User WikiProject Films to your user page.

A few features that you might find helpful:

 • Most of our important discussions about the project itself and its related articles take place on the project's main discussion page; it is highly recommended that you watchlist it.

There is a variety of interesting things to do within the project; you're free to participate however much—or little—you like:

 • Want to jump right into editing? The style guidelines show things you should include.
 • Want to assist in some current backlogs within the project? Visit the Film Tasks template to see how you can help.
 • Want to know how good our articles are? Our assessment department has rated the quality of every film article in Wikipedia. Check it out!
 • Want to collaborate on articles? The Cinema Collaboration of the Week picks an article every week to work on together.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask another fellow member, and we'll be happy to help you. Again, welcome! We look forward to seeing you around! Nehrams2020 01:47, 19 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I'm not even sure that I'm writing this in the correct area, but, I just wanted to thank you for the tip on how to post citation requests. Thanks -- :).

Question

[edit]

What is wrong with an LSO link that you removed and marked as 'linkspam'? It seems like a perfectly acceptable link to me. Pretender2j 06:44, 30 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You're right, seemed suspicious at the time, should've followed link. Seem to have started a small edit war too, apologies Dmanning 08:35, 30 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the tip, still learning wiki-ettiquette and the Churchill Bar is quite cool. Rohitde 12:35, 2 Feb 2007 (UTC)

[edit]

In regards to your request that I remove a copyrighted article from my own server - that was actually to be the next step - I thought however that I would extend an invitation to place the article elsewhere before I remove it from my site, although perhaps it would have been prudent to have pointed that out. dialagranny 05:19, 5 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Lovely Country

[edit]

Why do you keep changing the Lovely page back to the original version? It's rubbish, it's full of lies.

Blog

[edit]

If the material is in the Guardian, we should link to it. If it's not there or elsewhere, it's unpublished, except for on the author's blog, and we avoid self-published material as far as possible on WP, for obvious reasons. Added to which, this particular blog is being added to multiple articles, almost to the point of spamming, so it needs to be removed when not strictly necessary, and the only place it's really needed is in the article about the blog owner. See WP:V, which is policy. SlimVirgin (talk) 08:59, 20 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I know what it says because I wrote it. :-) We do nevertheless avoid blogs whenever possible, and particularly when the material is published elsewhere, as this was. SlimVirgin (talk) 00:02, 21 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I missed that one. Thanks. - Dan D. Ric 08:01, 21 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I thought that page was semi-protected from some of the older edits, what happened? Dmanning 08:05, 21 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Dunno. I just posted a question Here. -- Dan D. Ric 08:09, 21 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Change article title?

[edit]

Do you know how I might be able to change an article title? Or would I have to start a whole new one? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Caysonbelle (talkcontribs) 18:46, 1 March 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Re: BalderDash

[edit]

Sorry about the late reply, been logged off for a long while.

The TV.com article is incorrect; Balderdash was definitely on for more than nine episodes. It aired five-a-week, with roughly 160 episodes. I have most of them on tape.

The network used to have a page with far more information, but that page is long gone.

hey u

[edit]

why cant u leave my editing of the knights of prosperity alone? dont think about it just stop erasing what i write. just let it go.

u Socialist and Humanist Vegetarian, its your fault theres so much crime in this country, and its your fualt theres so much violence in our country. u r ruining our scociety and u and ur people should be ashamed. and at least i have friends and not wasted my life on the sci fi channel

do u feel good about yourself right now? let the revision go —Preceding unsigned comment added by {} (talk • contribs)

I dont live in the US, pretty clear from my bio. I count 6 separate users and IP addresses who revert your edit. You have a 500 signature petition which may or may not have had any effect on anything, doesn't make for a great addition. You can keep trolling if you like (and threats to keep adding the same info if its ever removed is trolling) but you will be blocked, personal attacks on me wont help you.

ok fine im sorry bout that. but why cant you just let go, its just a stupid rule. who would be suffering by mey editing?

I, and every other person who reads this information (accept you, I guess). I'd like a Wikipedia article about me, can I really say to everybody to "just let it go"?
The thing is, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and people know that the information they find here is reliable. Your site is personal propagenda, and a reader who reads your version of The Knights of Prosperity will be led to believe that your site is big and significant, while it's not. You can post that info in boards and forums, but not here. We can live with that link at the bottom, but that's it (and you should be thankfull even for that - your site is not important enough to be here at all, so thinking that it should get a full paragraph is just stupid (in a small article to begin with. it would be like 1/5 of the article)).
Please stop reverting, you're wasting both our and your time (and you WILL be blocked if you keep on reverting). GodfatherTalk23:18, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WP:FILMS Questionnaire

[edit]

As a member of WikiProject Films, you are invited to take part in the project's first questionnaire. It is intended to gauge your participation and views on the project. At the conclusion of the questionnaire, the project's coordinators will use the gathered feedback to find new ways to improve the project and reach out to potential members. The results of the questionnaire will be published in next month's newsletter. If you know of any editors who have edited film articles in the past, please invite them to take part in the questionnaire. Please stop by and take a few minutes to answer the questions so that we can continue to improve our project. Happy editing!
