Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome!

Thanks for uploading several images. I notice that they currently don't have an image copyright tag. Could you add one to each of them to let us know their copyright status? (You can use {{gfdl}} if you release it under the GFDL, or {{fairuse}} if you claim fair use, etc.) If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know where you got the images and I'll tag them for you. Thanks so much, Zzyzx11 | Talk 05:07, 24 Apr 2005 (UTC)

  • Looks like you are doing it correctly. Zzyzx11 | Talk 05:21, 24 Apr 2005 (UTC)
    • Also, please remember to sign your name on Talk pages using four tildes (~~~~) so that it produces your name and the current date. Otherwise, people have to dig through the page history to find out that it was you who sent that message. Thanks. Zzyzx11 | Talk 05:24, 24 Apr 2005 (UTC)

copyvio

[edit]

If you are the copyright holder of an article that has been marked as a copyright problem, you must follow these steps:

  1. You must indicate that you are indeed the copyright holder on the article's talk page. In your case, the page is Talk:Tattva.
  2. You must find the article's listing on Wikipedia:Copyright problems and also indicate there that you are the copyright owner.

Sorry, but that is the policy. And I'm afraid some users paste the copyvio message without looking at the article contents. Next time, be sure to write a note that you are indeed the copyright holder on the article's talk page. Zzyzx11 | Talk 07:17, 24 Apr 2005 (UTC)

  • Sorry, but the copyright problem notice on Tattva might last for 7 days as the issues there seem to get backed up. Oh, here's a suggestion: If you are currently working on an article, you can place {{inuse}} at the top. It will display this message:

Category:Wikipedians in New Zealand

[edit]

Hi, You might want to consider adding {{User NZ res}} to the top of your user page, which will add you to this category automatically and also add a nice graphic. Onco_p53 22:30, 21 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Tattva-Vayu-Air.gif. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Thank you. BRossow 18:59, 24 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Psychosynthesis article

[edit]

I have not had time to read the article through, but it appears that the person who wrote it has very good first hand knowledge of Psychosynthesis. Nevertheless, Wikipedia articles need to cite published sources; and, without that, the any statements not supported by sources could be deleted at any time. Please add sourcing. Proposed deletion of Tattva vision

[edit]

The article Tattva vision has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

no claim to notability, uncertain citations

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Invitation to an in-person meetup in Mohua / Golden Bay

[edit]
Golden Bay Air are holding some seats for us until 21 November

Thinking about your summer break? Think about joining other Wikipedians and Wikimedians in Golden Bay / Mohua! Details are on the meetup page. There's heaps of interesting stuff to work on e.g. the oldest extant waka or New Zealand's oldest ongoing legal case. Or you may spend your time taking photos and then upload them.

Golden Bay is hard to get to and the airline flying into Tākaka uses small planes, so we are holding some seats from and to Wellington and we are offering attendees a $200 travel subsidy to help with costs.

Be in touch with Schwede66 if this event interests you and you'd like to discuss logistics. Schwede66 09:14, 13 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
