How is Archie "smooth skinned" ?? Is this fact mentioned anywhere or is it just an opinion ? What does smooth skinned mean by the way. Jay 16:44, 13 Feb 2004 (UTC)

I believe it refers to the fact that Archie hasn't started having to shave yet. --b. Touch 08:00, 19 Sep 2004 (UTC)
My two cents on this subject: I do believe thats what it refers to. Actually, Id never noticed, none of the guys at the "gang" actually shave!

Radio Dates

[edit]

Bob Montana's characters were adapted to radio in the early 1940s. Archie Andrews began on the Blue Network May 31, 1943, switched to Mutual in 1944, and then continued on NBC until September 5, 1943.
Well, that's sure a neat trick! Does anyone know when the radio series ended?Rockhopper10r 17:48, 18 Jun 2005 (UTC)

According to radio historian John Dunning, the series ended in *1953*. Basically, it was a typo. I'll correct it. Also, is it just me, or should there be a disambiguation for this? The dummy Archie Andrews, who had his own radio series and following in Britain, should really be seperated, as any similarity is probably coincidental (as with the two Dennis the Menace's). Thanks for the date fix. A disambiguation page is a good idea. The US and British characters most likely developed independently.Rockhopper10r 17:44, 22 Jun 2005 (UTC)
