Good pictures Mike!

[edit]

Small problem in the filename though I think. I'd take the 600px out. I prefer to make the file names unique by putting my username in there, it would be something like Chelan pano.03 30 05.codedelectron.jpg

the 600px might make things confusing, check this syntax out (missing the double [ on purpose):

Image:Chelan pano-03 30 05-600px.jpg|200px

that would put it in as a 200 pixel wide image in the page, looks funky. Also don't forget that American civilians are the only ones who write their dates in the order of month/day/year. Probably best to keep the date out to avoid confusion in this matter too. I also added the tag to put them into the category at Category:Lakes_of_Washington (note that the leading : links to the category while a missing colon places the article in a category).

Boy those images sure look great though! Triddle 15:41, 8 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Wiki Images

[edit]

Yea, I had the filename on my system like that to separate out which versions were print and which versions were for web, I didn't realize when I uploaded it that the filename would be stuck like that. I tried moving the image later to Lake_Chelan_Pano-Spring.jpg, but I got an error message.

I am aware Americans are the only ones who use MM/DD/YYYY, and that was also on my system, where I had no intentions of having in the wiki. I'm glad you like the photos - hopefully I'll get to post more in the future.

Lastly, I noticed you moved all the photos around - I don't have a big problem with that - but I would prefer if you'd keep the styling of text with the photo - its meant as a photo caption. I did try Image:file|500px|Caption here, but that didn't seem to work for me...

Begin Triddle: Yea you can't move an image; the best you can do is re-upload the image with the new filename, update the things that link to it, and then list the old image for deletion. Kind of a pain in the ass. Triddle 03:02, 11 Apr 2005 (UTC)
