Offensive

[edit]

I was invited to attend a live show by Carrot Top a few years ago. The language and imagery Thompson used could only be described as foul and offensive. A number of members in the audience got up and walked out during the show. One of my companions took the time later to register formal complaints to the venue management and to Thompson's manager. His language and behavior on television are cleaned up compared to live shows, probably by use of editing; it is inconceivable that he would be allowed to perform unrestricted on a live broadcast, lest the broadcasting company risk losing its license. After attending the show I learned this trait is widely known, yet the article is silent in this regard. Why? — QuicksilverT @ 16:06, 29 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. Elizium23 (talk) 20:25, 29 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Lots of comedians can be offensive. That's not really an important point. Wikipedia is not a parent's guide. McLerristarr | Mclay1 16:37, 13 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed, offensive is not the problem. It's how awful and tiresome his loathsome prop comedy is . — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:647:6480:B640:CD14:907C:1830:C4EB (talk) 00:04, 21 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
