2010 IP comment

[edit]

There are serious issues of tone and style throughout. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.37.245.89 (talk) 02:46, 19 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I deleted :

The title is said to have come from Frank Sinatra's song "It Was a Very Good Year", which begins with the line "When I was seventeen".

since the song wasn't out in 1944, when the magazine was first created. RickK 23:36, 15 Dec 2003 (UTC)

What???

[edit]

There should be a contoversy, because so many people complain about this.

I agree, there should be a controversy section. I know a lot of parents are opposed to Seventeen. I can't change it, though. I live in the UK where the magazine is unknown.Nukleoptra 16:32, 17 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Quite surprised there is no controversy section or mention of feminist opposition. SabarCont 20:20, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Also

[edit]

There has been very few, I think only one or two non-blondes as a covergirl for Seventeen, it has been published in the letters section of this magazine many times. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.198.38.213 (talk) 05:55, 5 May 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Albaseventeen.JPG

[edit]

Image:Albaseventeen.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 19:11, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A poem printed in Seventeen about 50 years ago.

Can anyone tell me if I can get a copy of a poem called "A Little Girl's Room" published in Seventeen? 108.35.189.184 (talk) 01:01, 26 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Rhoda Friedman Ring, creator of Seventeen magazine

[edit]

Rhoda Ring passed away on June 15, 2022, at the age of 99. Please consider reading her obituary, which is the true story of her creation "Seventeen" magazine. https://kraftsussman.com/tribute/details/4473/Rhoda-Ring/obituary.html. <ref> Rhoda was a PR professional for Bert Nevins. Walter Annenberg, the owner of Triangle Publications was a Bert Nevins Agency client. My husband and I were family friends and former Northern New Jersey cooperative apartment residents of Rhoda Ring. Your consideration is appreciated.
