Notes

[edit]

I will edit the entry for Pokhara, using the present information and adding some more. I lived there with my family for 2 1/2 years as an urban planner and, as far as the visible side of the city is concerned, I know the place and its environment inside-out.Sundar1 19:36, 9 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The URL links on this page are bullshit! Can anyone please remove them?

International Mountain Museum

[edit]

How about mentioning the very nice Mountain Museum in the article? --Bentonia School 02:58, 6 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

North of Pokhara

This has been hacked and replaced by useless info. Can the administrator of this page please undo the changes. Thanks202.52.237.74 11:05, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Structure

[edit]

In this section, I removed the following sentence - which had no reference source to support it:

For Nepalese, Pokhara has become the most favorite place to live in the country.

Editing

[edit]

I edited most of the article and have added relevant references to meet the criteria of an encyclopaedic article. However, the article still contains a mix of British and American usage of english. Please edit to impart a consistent usage, either american or british but not both. In case editing is done please indicate the chosen english usage in this talk page. AG 20:33, 24 April 2012 (UTC)

Contradiction

[edit]

The Nepal page on wikipedia enlists Pokhara as the second largest city in Nepal whereas the Pokhara page itself says it's the third largest city. Isn't this contradictory? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rex519 (talkcontribs) 12:30, 14 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

spelling

[edit]
"southern shore fo the Phewa Lake" should be "southern shore of the Phewa Lake"

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to 3 external links on Pokhara. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Largest municipality by area

[edit]

Your claim Pokhara Lekhnath is a largest municipality of Nepal (by area) is not true. Pokhara Lekhnath's total area is 464.24 square kilometres (179.24 sq mi) and Triyuga's total area is 547 square kilometres (211 sq mi), so Triyuga is the largest municipality by area in Nepal. Incorrect citation

[edit]

In the history section, the following has been added - "Pokhara has been identified as Pushkarana of Allahabad Pllar inscription.". The cited book states the word "Pokharan" which makes it unclear if it is actually Pokhara being referred. Request removal. Ramnam (talk) 06:09, 16 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I've deleted the line. Ramnam (talk) 06:14, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
