Greg Goebel's In The Public Domain

[edit]

Greg Goebel or "MrG" as he is known, maintains a site of public domain materials -- documents, blog, technical photo and artwork archive -- at www.vectorsite.net and titled IN THE PUBLIC DOMAIN. In early 2004 a Wikipedian named Sennheiser set up this page to encourage and coordinate porting a number of articles from IN THE PUBLIC DOMAIN to Wikipedia.

Sennheiser's exercise only lasted a short time and the page quickly fell into disuse. It is now only being retained for historical reference.

As far as Greg Goebel and IN THE PUBLIC DOMAIN goes, all materials (except for some of the photographs and artwork that are either uncredited or credited to others besides "GVG/PD", as MrG's own works are marked) are in the public domain and free for all use without restriction. Any use of his materials on Wikipedia is fine by him, even welcome.

However, although he is a regular reader of Wikipedia and contributes to it financially on occasion, he has no other association with the operation and no interest in acquiring one. He neither endorses nor criticizes Wikipedia; his relationship to the operation is that of a disinterested outside party. Any Wikipedians who are porting materials from IN THE PUBLIC DOMAIN to Wikipedia are welcome to contact him with questions, but their affiliation with Wikipedia is irrelevant to him -- he would extend the same courtesy to any other users of his materials.
