Hi Magnus, welcome to the Wikipedia! Always nice to see somebody working on the music articles (and especially nice to see an article on the crwth). If you ever have any queries about anything, just add a question to the bottom of the Wikipedia:Village pump. By the way, the Welsh Wikipedia is up and running at http://cy.wikipedia.com/ (though there's not much activity there at present). Cheers--Camembert

Thanks Camembert (BTW, one of my favourite cheeses). Actually I've been lurking on Wikipedia for a couple of years now, though I haven't done very much editing until recently and I've forgotten to log in most times I've edited pages. I'll certainly check out the Welsh Wikipedia. Cheers--Magnus

Magnus,

I noticed that you've done some work on the Cornish page this morning. How about taking a stab at clearing up the 'death of Cornish' paragraph:

The Cornish language is alleged to have died out in about 1800, a year after the death of Dolly Pentreath, whose native language it was and who could speak little English. She was not the last monoglot Cornish speaker; that was Chesten Marchant, who died in 1676 at Gwithian...

From the discussion page, you'll see it's been a bone of contention - I pondered rearranging it but decided that, as a definite 'unexpert', it would be better to get someone else to do it ;-)

Hi Wulf!

I might have a go at that paragraph a bit later, but I'll need to do some research first as I'm not really much more of an expert than you are on the subject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
