Franz Stangl's brother-in-law?

[edit]

or son-in-law? --142.163.194.97 (talk) 21:09, 4 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I can't see the whole book in Google books. It looks like his former son-in-law might be correct. The library just closed; I will find out tomorrow.— Diannaa (talk) 23:06, 4 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The source says "Stangl's former son-in-law, Herbert Havel". Tom Segev's book also says "Stangl's former son-in-law, Herbert Havel" and provides the information that Stangl's daughter had left Havel (which is presumably what "former" means). Segev also has more on this topic but it is too fine-detail for this article (maybe not for Stangl's article). My copy of Segev's book has this on page 209, but the page numbers are different from the edition cited in the article. Zerotalk 01:59, 5 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
